Ocean Flower Ring Tutorial

I am having a ball this week!  For a while I have wanted to start doing beading tutorials, so my little sister Abby and I threw together a flower ring for my first tutorial.

Materials Needed:
Scissors
Size 12 Beading Needles
Nymo Beading Thread (most any thread will do)
2 Colors of Size-11 Seed Beads (1 main color and 1 accent color)
1 Glass Flower Bead

Step 1: With your needle and thread, pick up 1 accent seed bead and turn it into a stopper bead by going back through it from the tail end.  Leave approximately 6 inches of tail thread.

Step 2: Pick up three main color beads, one accent bead, and three more main color beads.

Step 3: Go back through the stopper bead from the tail end and pull tight to create a circle.  Weave your thread to fourth bead (the accent bead) of the circle.

Step 4: Pick up three main color beads, one accent colored bead, and three more main color beads.  Go back through the accent bead, of the previous circle, and pull tight.  Weave your thread to the fourth bead (the accent bead) of the second circle.

Continue Step 4 until your ring is to the desired length.  2 1/2 inches is a good standard length.

Step 5: Pick up the glass flower bead and 1 accent color bead.

Go Back through the flower bead and pull tight to secure the flower.  Weave your thread back through the circles and tie it off.

Step 6: Take the tail thread and pick up twenty main color seed beads.  Go back through the accent bead that the tail thread was previously exiting.  Weave the tail thread back through the circles and tie off your thread.

The finished product!
