Why I Hate February :)

The month of January is said to be the most depressing time of the entire year.  This is because of Christmas and New Years.  Once the holidays are over, people begin to flock back to their jobs with sadness that all of the fun is over.  January is also an exceptionally cold and dark month of the year.  I don't know about everyone else, but the grim weather outside makes me feel sad.  No wonder people get the winter blues around this time!

For me, though, the depression doesn't start out until February.  Anyone who has known me from childhood, can tell you that I really don't like February.  Fortunately, we have Valentines Day to break up the dreariness of this month.  However, we still have to live an entire month of cold and wet until March comes and saves us.  I always catch something in February, whether it is a cold, the flu, or some strange illness that I didn't know existed.

How do I breeze this month with as little pain as possible?  Right now, I don't have a clue, but my gut instinct is that I should try and do as much school as I can, so that when spring comes, I can take some time off!  Do the hard work now, while everything is miserable, and look forward to the warm weather.  Good plan, I say.

To everyone out there that feels like the winter is getting them down, don't let it!  Imagine what how welcoming spring will be when it gets here.  This time of year is difficult, but we can't let it get us down.

We must make lots of coffee to fortify ourselves. ;-)
