Green Clusters Necklace

Originally, I was planning to do a Valentines Day necklace.  I had the entire design in my head-an elaborately beaded chain with little hearts, falling waterfall-like, at the center-but instead of pink hearts, I came up with something more green.

Every cluster is held together by little crimp beads.  This project gave me a chance to try out my crimping pliers.  Note: Crimping pliers are like normal pliers, except that they are shaped especially for working with tiny metallic beads.

This necklace seems to set the mood for Saint Patrick's Day.
